Pax Autocratica System Requirements
Official Pax Autocratica system requirements from Steam: minimum and recommended PC specs, GPU tiers for 1080p and 1440p, DirectX 11 and 40 GB storage.
The Pax Autocratica system requirements are fully published — both minimum and recommended tiers are listed on Steam, which is unusual for a game still two weeks from Early Access.
There is one thing worth knowing before you read the tables: the free Prologue lists identical requirements to the full game. That means you can test your actual hardware against the real engine today rather than reading spec charts. Details on the Prologue page.

The graphics row is the part most spec sites flatten incorrectly. Multiverse lists two separate minimum GPU tiers by resolution — a 6 GB card for 1080p and an 8 GB card for 1440p. If a chart shows only one minimum GPU, it has dropped half the official information.

Note that RAM and storage do not increase between the two tiers. Both are 16 GB RAM and 40 GB storage. Only the CPU and GPU move up.
On the “GTX 2060 Super” listing: the Steam page writes the recommended NVIDIA card as GTX 2060 Super. NVIDIA’s 2060 Super is an RTX card; there is no GTX-branded 2060 Super. This is a typo on the store page, quoted here exactly as published rather than silently corrected. Read it as the RTX 2060 Super tier.
What the 16 GB RAM Floor Tells You
Section titled “What the 16 GB RAM Floor Tells You”A 16 GB minimum is high for an indie title, and it is consistent with what the game does: a persistent colony simulation with individually tracked citizens running underneath a first-person shooter with large-scale battles containing infantry, tanks and mechs.
Both halves of the game are live at once, and both tiers list the same 16 GB. There is no 8 GB configuration listed. If your system has 8 GB, you are below the published minimum regardless of your GPU.
DirectX 11, Not 12
Section titled “DirectX 11, Not 12”The game lists DirectX Version 11 for both minimum and recommended. That is a lower bar than most 2026 releases and widens hardware compatibility.
Multiverse has not announced ray tracing, DLSS, FSR, XeSS, ultrawide support, frame-rate caps, or graphics presets. Any spec page claiming a “1080p 60 FPS on low” target is inventing it — no frame-rate target has been published at any tier or resolution.
Storage and SSD
Section titled “Storage and SSD”Steam lists 40 GB of available space, and the free Prologue lists the same figure despite containing only part of the game. Treat 40 GB as the disk you should have free either way.
An SSD is not listed as a requirement. Installing on an SSD is generally good practice for load times, but that is general PC advice rather than an official Pax Autocratica requirement.
Multiverse has not announced final install size after patches, or whether Early Access will grow beyond 40 GB.
Windows Only
Section titled “Windows Only”The Steam page confirms Windows, with macOS and Linux both unsupported. Windows 10 64-bit is the floor; Windows 11 is not separately listed, which does not mean it fails — only that the published baseline names Windows 10.
There is no Steam Deck compatibility rating. Because the Deck runs Linux through Proton and the game lists no Linux support, Deck behaviour is unverified. That rating cannot exist before release, so its absence is normal rather than a warning sign.
Test Your PC Before You Buy
Section titled “Test Your PC Before You Buy”This is the practical advantage this game has over most pre-launch spec pages.
Because Pax Autocratica: Prologue is free, stand-alone and uses the same published requirements, you can install it and see real performance on your own hardware today. That is a far better signal than comparing part numbers.
Two caveats when you do: the Prologue runs at smaller base and battle scale than Early Access, and Multiverse states that content and balance may change before launch.
